Have you ever thought about how it makes you feel in the room you work 8 hours a day? I am a Chilean printmaker. My practice explores the relationship between people and architecture, most notably how it modifies our day-to-day relationship with spaces.
As a child, I lived in a small house, which incentivized me to imagine how to transform spaces to make them feel larger, more efficient, and enjoyable. Later, when I became an architect, I discovered buildings are made for profit rather than for people. When I moved to the UK and Canada, I found that this problem affects most metropolis inhabitants.
My work is deeply rooted in psychogeography, which explores urban places through self-determined walking routes. I aim to create new insights into those spaces through photography and collaged images in monochromatic layers mixed with juxtaposition.
